Hospital asset & inventory management
Happy new financial year to all readers.
I am sure that all of us agree the hectic month of March, where the accounting departments are on an overdrive to ensure filing of returns and final entries to the financial accounting system. This is also the time when customers change hospital software solutions. This year we have added 16 hospital clients and locations to our list – From Goa along the west coast to Haryana, Bidar, Kenya and Maldives.
Our new releases namely Netra, Swastha, Teja and Vikas have gone through extensive trials at various large and mid size installations across three states in India and four of our clients are now NABH Safe-I compliant. Our comprehensive Electronic Medical Records (EMR) modules are now extensive with wide usage among 250 doctors, thanks to the participation of a few technology savvy doctors in our product management panel. The older versions of SA-HIS are being replaced by the newer versions for clients planning to go for NABH certification.
A few of the 250 plus bedded hospital clients have purchased or leased smaller hospitals and clinics in remote regions to broaden the population footprint and our Vikas version has provided seamless connectivity for centralised purchase management and roaming patient profiles. The new resource requirement for administrative tasks and paperwork have also reduced proportionally.
Our hospital ERP software implementation team continues to maintain 100% track record of on time delivery and now we have add on services for process maturity mapping, gap analysis, training and re implementation for those having growth plans or additional staff recruitment.
Our oldest hospital client has been with us for 25 years ; undergone three major technology upgrades and now, waiting for the next and the most exciting of all technologies – a cloud enabled digital and web enablement platform for engaging suppliers, partners, doctors, patients and their dependents for improved experience, safety and satisfaction.
These hospital patient portal solutions readily plug-in to the existing HIS versions (including Eye hospital software) with minimal configuration and provide access to routine management reports on the web using smart phones and tablets. Few of the clients have also started using the online booking portal for out patient department that would help reduce workload at the hospital front office.

Our hospital ERP implementation, helpdesk and technical support teams have been working hard and able to keep a constant call closure rate of 90% and above, week on week basis and we target to achieve 95% this year through process standardisation and knowledge management practices. New reports related to management information for managers, owners and buyers are now available as add on packs.
Our European research operations are in full swing now and we bring some leading edge technologies and business processes for the healthcare industry. Our research paper on “Digital self service for polyclinics in Netherlands” has been shortlisted for publication by the University of Utrecht, which is ranked 48th in the world.
